Our Services

At ISSA Physical Therapy, no two clients are treated the same way.  This may be the case even if they have the same condition. Physical therapy is a complex clinical science that involves a vast array of treatment techniques.  Our therapists will not use every technique listed; rather,  they will find the right combination of techniques that are specific to the individual client's condition.  Some of the tools in their kit include:

Manual Therapy:

We believe that manual therapy provides the necessary basis for accurate assessments and beneficial treatments of neuromusculoskeletal disorders.  Our physical therapists have devoted their professional careers to studying the science and perfecting the art of manual therapy.

  • Spine & Joint Mobilization/Manipulation
  • Dry Needling of Trigger Points
  • Manual Trigger Point Therapy
  • Soft Tissue Mobilization & Therapeutic Massage
  • Neural Tissue Mobilization
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
  • Kinesiotaping & other Therapeutic Taping Techniques

Exercise Therapy:

Therapeutic & Functional ExercisesWe believe that specific, individualized prescribed exercises are critical for maintaining and improving upon the benefits gained by manual therapy.  We do not rely on protocols or prematurely prescribe exercises that may worsen a condition.

  • Rehabilitation & Home Exercise Programs
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
  • Postural Adjustment Exercises

We believe that modalities have their place in physical therapy, especially when localized healing and pain modulation is indicated.  We do not believe that modalities should be front and center in any treatment approach.

  • Low-Level Laser Therapy
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrical Stimulation
  • Iontophoresis
  • Therapeutic Heat & Cold

We strongly believe in the power and benefits of patient education.  We aim to teach our clients at every treatment session.

  • Proper Posture & Body Mechanics
  • Self-Management Techniques
