Greetings

We missed you at the seminar.

As a summary of my seminar, I discussed the many roles that the brain plays with adjusting and “fine tuning” your runs. Being more in tune with your runs, can allow your body to perform more efficiently and your brain to be more aware of changes that may need to be made for the next run. I also went in to some research about the cognitive benefits that running enhances for your brain.   It also provides anti-depressant effects and decreases your risk for chronic diseases and degenerative brain diseases.

Learning more about your body and the movements and muscle requirements it needs for running can help reduce risk of running injury.  I personally welcome any questions you may have about your running. Please do not hesitate to email me at piersol@issapt.com.

Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are trained to help guide you in learning more about your body, postural and core requirements, and the mind-body control that is needed to support better runs.  We can also help with any injuries that might be limiting you from getting back in to running.  We offer free phone consultations with our Doctors of Physical Therapy if you're having pain, limited mobility, or want some help in knowing what is important to focus on to become more in tuned with your run.

We hope you can make it out to the next seminar September 21st, 2017. We will talk about "hitting the wall" with running and ways to prevent this phenomenon.

Have a great weekend and take advantage of the cool weather with your runs.
