Understanding Spondyloarthropathies

Spondyloarthropathies refer to rheumatological diseases that affect the spine, including ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), reactive arthritis (ReA), enteropathic arthritis (EA), and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

We are sad to announce that physical therapist, Erika Mesenbourg, has decided to move on in order to be closer to home. She will be missed and we thank her for the excellent care she provided for our patients in the past year.

Tamer & Adam attend Postural Restoration Course

If you have been in to see us in the past month, you probably have seen us use this strange looking torture table. The method comes to us from Italy and is called the Raggi Method using the Pancafit Bench. It is a Global Approach of Postural Rebalancing.

Tamer & Adam thoroughly enjoyed the 3-day Level 1 course they attended at the end of April and are one of the few PTs in the country that will be trained in the method. We are very excited about how effective the method has been in restoring normal breathing patterns, addressing postural imbalances, and aiding in the identification of people's underlying root causes of their pain and dysfunction.

Tamer Issa, PT, DPT and Pasquale Silvestre, CPT organized the course and plan on bringing more courses to the U.S.A. in the future.

Tamer will be giving a talk this Saturday at Crossfit Petworth

Principles of Injury Prevention Workshop

This workshop is for ANYONE that would like to learn more about how to take care of themselves and to optimize their training.

Members of Crossfit Petworth, register on their schedule. Non-members, email info@crossfitpetworth.com to reserve your spot today!
