Thoracic disc herniation is a condition in which the gel-like material in the center of a spinal disc is squeezed outward. This may cause abnormal pressure to be placed on the spinal cord.
As the use of magnetic resonance imaging has gradually increased over the years, so has the number of people who are diagnosed with thoracic disc herniation.
