PFPS refers to pain at the front of the knee and around the knee cap. It affects more women than men and accounts for 20-25% of all reported knee pain. PFPS is one of the most common causes of knee pain, particularly among athletes, active teenagers, older adults and people who do physical labor. Physical Therapy is an effective treatment for PFPS and can help athletes and knee pain sufferers return to their previous level of function.

This presentation will discuss:

  • Anatomy of the Knee
  • Causes of PFPS
  • Treatment of PFPS
  • How PT can effectively treat PFPS
  • Q&A with PT
