ISSAPT Welcomes Megan Piersol, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist Megan Piersol

Joins the Practice!

We are very excited to announce that physical therapist, Megan Piersol, will be joining the ISSAPT team on April 24th, 2017. Her manual therapy skills, clinical experience, and passion for helping others are the qualities that we look for in a therapist. We are so pleased to have her on our team!

Dr. Piersol earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 from the University of Florida. Her undergraduate degree was in Biology and a minor in Public Health.  Megan incorporates more neurological components into her care of orthopedic injuries thus capturing the whole picture of the patient's problem. She believes that motor control issues involved are often missed in rehab programs and without addressing the important neurological components, patients may have a higher risk of re-injury or dysfunction.  In her treatments, she also uses manual interventions (including trigger point dry needling) which allow for better freedom to connect movements to the mind and body.  Megan believes that learning how to use the strength you build from therapy while limiting restrictions from muscles and joints is an important step in rehabilitation.

Megan has treated individual, team, and recreational athletes at youth, collegiate, and professional levels. Not only does Megan enjoy working with athletic injuries, she also enjoys working with Neurological conditions (i.e. Stroke, MS, Parkinson's, Spinal Cord Injuries, etc). She is willing to help anyone who wants to achieve an active lifestyle. Megan will help get you there.
