Megan Piersol, PT, DPT

Dr. Piersol earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida. Her clinical background is in orthopedics, sports medicine, and neurological rehabilitation. She incorporates neurological aspects into her care of orthopedic injuries thus capturing the whole picture of the patient's problem. She believes that motor control issues involved are often missed in rehab programs and without addressing the important neurological components, patients may have a higher risk of re-injury or dysfunction.

In her treatments, Dr. Piersol utilizes manual therapy and dry needling to improve freedom of movement, which helps connect movements between the mind and body. She believes that learning how to use the strength you build during therapy while limiting restrictions from muscles and joints is an important step in rehabilitation.

Dr. Piersol has experience treating individuals and teams at youth, collegiate, and professional levels. She also has experience with and enjoys treating individuals with neurological conditions (i.e stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, spinal cord injuries, etc). She is willing to help anyone who wants to achieve an active and healthy lifestyle.

During her free time, Dr. Piersol enjoys running, playing guitar, and college football.
